Craig Presents Music in Indiana State Parks

Brown County State Park, Nature Center Amphitheater, State Rd. 46, Nashville, IN

The concert is the result of an Arts in the Parks grant from the IN Arts Commission for the project "Craig Presents Music in Indiana State Parks". Craig and drummer Tim Brookshire will explore the jazzy side of blues, boogie woogie and other styles, focusing on music by Indiana musicians, and providing percussion instruments for young people present who want to play along on some tunes. Craig will also talk briefly about the history of the park and about Hoosier composers and musicians as a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the IN Arts Commission, the Centennial of the State Parks, and the Bicentennial of Indiana. Other performances funded by the grant will be at Clifty Falls and Spring Mill State Parks, at the Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina on Monroe Lake, and at Paynetown at Monroe Lake. Information about the Arts in the Parks grant is at http://craigbrenner.com/news. This activity was made possible, in part, with support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
