Craig Presents Music in Indiana State Parks

Paynetown SRA Amphitheater at Monroe Lake, So. State Rd. 446, Bloomington, IN

This concert is the result of an Arts in the Parks grant from the Indiana Arts Commission for the project "Craig Presents Music in Indiana State Parks". Craig and Tim Brookshire will provide percussion instruments and invite those present to play along on some tunes, exploring the jazzy side of blues, boogie woogie and other styles, focusing on music by Indiana musicians. Craig will also talk about the history of the park and about Hoosier composers and musicians as a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the IN Arts Commission, the Centennial of the State Parks, and the Bicentennial of Indiana. Other performances funded by the grant will be at Brown County, Clifty Falls and Spring Mill State Parks, and at the Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina at Monroe Lake. Information about the Arts in the Parks grant is at http://craigbrenner.com/news. This activity was made possible, in part, with support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
