The concert is the result of an Arts in the Parks grant from the IN Arts Commission for the project "Craig Presents Music in Indiana State Parks". Craig will provide percussion instruments and invite young people to play along on some tunes, exploring the jazzy side of blues, boogie woogie and other styles, focusing on music by Indiana musicians. Craig will also talk about the history of the park and about Hoosier composers and musicians as a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the IN Arts Commission, Centennial of the State Parks, and Bicentennial of Indiana. Other performances funded by the grant are at Brown County, Clifty Falls and Spring Mill State Parks, and at Paynetown at Monroe Lake. This concert was originally scheduled to take place on July 23 but was postponed due to weather.
